04 RECOVERY

Dermal Barrier Protocol

Breathable medical polyurethane membrane (SecondSkin) is applied immediately post-session, creating an enclosed moist healing biome that prevents scabbing and ink fallout.

HEALING CYCLE 14 DAYS
// AFTERCARE PROTOCOL

The Four Phases of Healing

Post-procedure recovery dictates 50% of the healed result. Follow the timeline strictly. Direct touchpoints with your artist remain open throughout the healing window.

Occlusive Membrane Stage

Keep the medical film intact. Fluid accumulation (plasma and excess pigment) is normal and optimal for cellular rebuilding.

  • Do not puncture or drain fluid accumulation.
  • Shower warm, but do not submerge in standing water.
Removal & Aseptic Cleansing

Peel membrane slowly under lukewarm running water downward. Wash with unscented, antimicrobial foam soap using clean palms only.

  • Pat dry with single-use paper towels (no bath towels).
  • Allow to air dry 15 minutes before applying a whisper-thin balm layer.
Epidermal Regeneration & Exfoliation

Light flaking and peeling will occur naturally. Maintain light moisture twice daily with fragrance-free lotion.

  • Absolutely no picking, scratching, or rubbing flakes.
  • Avoid direct sunlight, saunas, and heavy cardio sweating.
Long-Term Dermal Preservation

The surface layer has settled. Apply broad-spectrum mineral SPF 50 daily to protect pigment density against UV breakdown.

  • Complimentary artist touch-up valid within 90 days.
  • Hydrate skin regularly for lifetime contrast preservation.
