Curated Seasonal Subscriptions
A hand-wrapped monthly volume wrapped in butcher paper, sealed with red wax, and accompanied by a letter of commentary from our head bookseller, alongside a bespoke bookmark and tea blend.
Tucked beneath the stone vaulting of the former Guildhall printery. We maintain six firelit reading alcoves, an archival mezzanine, and a continuously refreshed pot of single-origin lapsang tea.
Silence & Low Cadence Conversations are welcomed around the counter, but whispered deference is kept within the stacks and rear reading bays.
Ink & Pencils We permit pencils and capped fountain pens. Loose notebooks and personal commonplace journals are warmly encouraged.
Tea & Small Volumes Warm drinks in ceramics are permitted at designated carrels. Please keep unjacketed rare imprints on felt mats.
Digital Restraint Mobiles must remain silenced. No laptop work in the velvet wing chairs after 16:00 on Fridays.
